Last year, during Chol HaMoed Succos, our family took a trip to Boston. On the way back to New York, we stopped in Plymouth, Massachusetts. One of the highlights of that stop was Plymouth Plantation. It’s one of those “restoration” villages wherein everything is re-created by actors pretending that they actually live there. You can interact with them and they never break character. It is really well done and certainly worth a trip. I decided to post these pics in black and white to add some flavor, though I’m pretty sure the people in those times saw things in color 😉 So, take a trip with me back to the 17th Century.
Wow, that was quick! Let’s take a look at Plymouth Plantation.
Here’s how the plantation looks when you first enter.
Oh, there’s William thatching his roof.
And, there’s Constance shucking peas for dinner.
There’s lots to see but not much time so let’s quickly catch up with James who is taking Martin for his first lesson on how to shoot a rifle.
Not bad for your first time Martin.
Time to run along before it get’s dark, come back and visit us again some time.
Great pix and lol explanations , you would make a fun tour guide.
Thanks, JT. I guess I missed my calling!
Hey that looks like fun. More fun than it was back then anyway.
Well done in the JIB’s David, I’m sure your going to be a very hard competitor to beat next year.
Shalom Aaron
