There are a whole bunch of incredible videos floating around the J-Blogosphere lately.
Yom Yerushalayim
Today is Yom Yerushalayim and you have to watch video of the liberation of Yerushalayim at Point of Pinchas.
Aish has a great compilation video of Yerushalayim with some poignant and beautiful shots.
Sderot
Akiva at Mystical Paths was getting a text message in real time from Shlomo Wollins at Israel Reporter when another missle landed nearby, the text messages and the video of a near miss can be seen here. This is a MUST SEE and a MUST READ.
One Jerusalem has great videos of a Day in the Life of Sderot.
Living History
The ever-expanding Mr. Bagel has some incredible historical videos of pre-war Jewish life in Europe. I watched one of my Grandfather’s town, Bialystok which was intriguing in that I always viewed it as a dusty shtetl only to find out that it was a booming city. I guess you could say I enjoyed Bialys at Mr. Bagel’s place.
Prayer for Parents on Behalf of their Children
The Shelah HaKodesh compiled a special prayer for parents on behalf of their childen. Although the prayer, of course, can be said at anytime, the Shelah states that Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan, Thursday May 17th, is the optimal time to recite it. This is because Sivan is the month when Bnai Yisrael received the Torah and became children of Hashem, so to speak. The tefillah can be found here. An English translation can be found here.
